TruWage

Terms of use

TruWage is a calculator. It applies published wage rules to the numbers you give it and shows its work. It is not legal advice.

Last updated October 11, 2026

These terms cover the TruWage website (truwage.app) and the TruWage apps, made by NorseHorse. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Not legal advice

TruWage is an information tool. It is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer and client relationship. A result is an estimate based on the rules we have on file and on what you enter. It is a reason to ask questions and look closer, not a finding that anyone broke the law.

Wage law depends on details a pay stub does not show: city and county minimum wages, the size of your employer, your job duties, written agreements and more. Each state page and each result lists the limits we know about. Before acting on a result, check with your state labor agency or the U.S. Department of Labor.

Accuracy of the rules

We check each state's rules against the agency's own published pages and list the date they were last checked and the source for each rule. Laws change and agencies update their guidance, and we can make mistakes. We do not promise the rules are complete, current or error free. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at NorseHorse@norsehor.se.

Using TruWage

  • Use it for your own pay, or to help someone with theirs.
  • Do not try to break, overload or misuse the site or its servers.
  • You can link to any page and share results you made. The public rules files may be used with credit to TruWage.

Accounts

The apps work without an account. If you sign in with a Cashout account to back up your checks, the Cashout terms also apply to that account. You can delete it at any time, as described on the delete account page.

No warranty, and limits on liability

TruWage is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, NorseHorse is not liable for losses that come from using or relying on TruWage, including decisions about your job or a wage claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. Continuing to use TruWage after a change means you accept the new terms.
